What is a ho ho? Well I've decided that is what these drug using homeless women that seem to attach themselves to my son are. A homeless ho! He is trying to get his life back together. But he lost so much of it being away because of drugs. That is a nice way to say locked up in the slammer! Anyway he has been staying in my travel trailer. Then I find that he brings a woman home with him...once two of them. I am not the moral police but there is a limit to what I will put up with! They have no place to go he tells me. Like I should feel sorry for them.
Well I have his daughter that I have been raising since she was a baby. Hailey is a nice sweet girl and she doesn't need to meet his latest ho ho! He is very angry at me for insisting that they cannot stay here. I haven't even let one of them...there have been five so far...into my house! And I never will. He says I've embarrassed him when I tell him in front of them to get them off my property. He has tried to use emotional blackmail. It doesn't work. I told him tough!
Drugs take people down. I have been there for my son when he needed it as much as I could. I told him years ago that I would never bail him out of jail or visit him in prison. I took his calls and let him talk to Hailey. I wrote to him and sent him packages. I tried to balance tough love with compassion for my child though he took a path in life I will never understand.
Maybe these woman have or had good families. I don't know. If they do their own families are probably burned out. Or these women don't want to deal with what their own families have to say to them. I have enough on my plate. I'm not taking in strays unless they meow!
As soon as ER gets back from his trip to KY, we are going to clean up the trailer and I am going to sell it.

Chasing the Sunset
Sitting outside and looking east saw a rainbow in the clouds. It must have been raining over the mountains. The clouds were beautiful and I realized that there would be a wonderful sunset out there. I waited awhile and then when it got close to time I drove down the hill to Lakeside. I parked on Channel Road that crosses the basically dry San Diego River bed. A good view to the west to see the sunset.
I started taking photos. Then a car stopped and the passenger in the back hollered at me. I had to turn off my radio to hear her. They wanted to find Hwy 94! They were looking for Jamul. I had to think a bit as they were miles out of their way. They had been on the right road to get there but had gotten turned around. I still got some pretty photos.

Palomar Mountain
We drove up the mountain yesterday to meet the photo group. Hailey went with me. It was a beautiful day. Since I got the time wrong we had to wait a while. So took these photos in the parking lot.
We walked around the area a bit taking photos and the group went on while Hailey and I waited for them I took these photos of her.
Then we drove down to a place called Doan's Pond. It is very small but we saw people fishing and actually catching some.
Leaving the mountain.

Dream or Nightmare?
Someone says let me tell you about the dream I had last night and I think Urf...save me! I woke up after a dreadful little dream...it reminded me of some I had as a child...missing and then running after the school bus...being chased by a black leopard only to have it find every hiding place...being lost and not being able to find my way home...stuff like that. In this dream we were getting ready for a trip to the beach and I couldn't find my camera...I looked everywhere and I just couldn't find it. They were yelling at me to get in the car and I was saying I couldn't go without my camera...

Saturday Afternoon in Coronado
We visited Coronado near the ferry landing. A beautiful view of San Diego across the bay. The day was a little hazy, still I got some pretty photos.
We were in Coronado with the Landscape Class. I wondered what story this bike told. Later I watched the owner park his bike over the short wall separating the sand from the pavement. Then he went back to the water and dragged a yellow kayak up to the parking lot. He fastened a small set of wheels to the end of the kayak and then tied the other end of the kayak to his bike. I wonder if the truth of it was as good as my imagination...or better than....

Sunday at the Park
Spent today at Balboa Park. Gail and I walked through the Botanical Gardens and had lunch at the Prado. Was a lovely time and an enjoyable visit catching up. We also viewed the photo exhibit at the San Diego Natural History Museum.
